It started in August and now only a couple months later it has made its way to the over crowded capital of Madagascar.  The disease which killed a third of the worlds population is alive an well in this little country and WHO warns that it will quickly spread through the densely populated capital if it is not brought under control.

Once Bubonic plague reaches the lungs of a person it becomes virulent and can spread via coughing and sneezing similar to the common cold.

There are 3 types of the plague, the latter two forms have a 99.9% mortality rate.

Yes, it is a very horrid disease (photos are included in the post on the link above). Were it not for it being treatable with antibiotics it would make Ebola look like a beauty queen.
Still they have to have supplies of the medicine to treat it.
