In light of the tragic events surrounding the Virgin Galactic spacecraft, do you think this will mark the end of the space tourism race? Or, do you think they will overcome the technical hurdles and more importantly, be able to reassure the future space tourists that they will be safe?

I think they are done. The next country to do something will be India. They currently have a mission scheduled to go to mars. The US wants it to be a privatized industry similar to airlines that make flights from country to country only instead of going from country to country will either make trips around the moon , or to mars.
