First topic message reminder :

Here is a video from YT

At this point the cases in the phillipinnes "are showing symptoms of Ebola"  but it is still not confirmed either way. We should know one way or another within the next day or so.

The case in Morocco is confirmed , and they are concerned that he may have spread it to untold number of people so keep it in green.

In the USA, there are concerns in New York with 1 person being listed as a possible case which has caused alarm at 3 hospitals. There are of course at this point 2 confirmed cases that exist in the USA but they are in isolation in Atlanta Georgia.

Uk iand Italy are confirmed as cleared as tests came back negative.

As for the one in Brazil they are still in the process of confirming whether it is Ebola.

Yes.  A peacekeeper from the UN now has Ebola and is receiving treatment at a clinic located in Monrovia. He is the third member who was sent on this mission to have contracted the virus. A statement was released saying that steps were being taken to make sure that the people who were coming into contact with the infected peacekeeper would be quarantined.
An Italian doctor also contracted Ebola whole he was in Sierra Leone. He was sent back to Italy.

---edit---
I would like to point out that a potentially dangerous virus called Lassa Fever has popped up in Canada. It is similar to Ebola but not as deadly

indeed and for that reason this forum exists. I now point you to the 2 lines in my signature:

it is the natural order for all things to come to an end.
It is not a question of if it is going to happen but when

has there been any more news on this?
In case some of you have not noticed there was a media blackout imposed on this subject - News on this subject has been extremely scare. From the 8:20 mark to around 9:20 or so is the location in this video where you will find the most obvious answer as to why this is the case

media black out? that doesnt help. We, the worlds people, look to our stupid leaders for news and support but if theyre covering up everything how are we supposed to prepare and fight this thing if its being hidden now

The governments will never tell the people everything, but will only what they want people to know.
Even now it has just been released that the CDC may be hiding thousands of cases but where did it come from? The cookie trail leads back to the government so you can see there is a certain amount of conspiracy to control the discussion of the people so that it leads to the outcome they desire

Update

This just in about 20 minutes ago. A case of Ebola has been confirmed in Glasscow. For more information check here

Unless a different disease pops up that is more virulent then this will continue to be a major problem.

A quick update for those in Scotland , the nurse who contracted the disease is getting worse and there are more suspected cases

Also, another American healthcare worker has been diagnosed with Ebola and has arrived in the state of Nebraska for treatment.

The latest update on this.  Ebola has been wiped out of all countries except UK, Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.  There is only one confirmed case in the UK at present but the other 3 still have cases with Liberia appearing to have the least. We are winning this war slowly but surely cheers

I have heard a rumour that it is starting to mutate but not sure how accurate this rumour is?

Yes scientists have said its mutating to be more contagious but less deadly.

-edit-
The least deadly Ebola strain has a mortality rate over 53% so even if it does mutate into a less lethal strain the mortality rate is more than likely not going to down too much.

What would be bad is if it mutates into a highly contagious strain with an even higher mortality rate. For example, if it mutated to be as contagious as small pox there would be a huge problem.

I heard that it may be mutating into an airborne virus where it doesn't need actual bodily fluid contact to become infected. However since the initial report I read a few days ago things have been quiet.
I don't know whether the report was just scaremongering or whether they have hushed this report up for fear of introducing panic?

Well another thing to remember is that this particular virus has an extremely high mutation rate. This is why that a vaccine might work on one person but a week later has no effect. The more infections there are the higher the probability that it will not only mutate but will do so in a way where the only sure cure and prevention will be a medium to large vacuum bomb over a given area.

They ought to drop a few bobms loaded with the virus over the IS lines. That would put a stop to them.

thats a bit dark wanting to drop a biobomb on them guys but tbh i agree the IS needs to be stopped and that may be the only way to do it

I would like to interject that the fear of IS is just another propaganda aimed at continuing the dying "war on terrorism".
The people like a sleeping giant have awoken and decided that they are tired of the propaganda so the governments had to come up with a new threat to get their attention.

So the US government arms this group and gives them the tools they need to terrorize people so that the government can capitalize and make the most of the fear that they have generated.

In reality , there are no specific lines for terrorism or IS because both of these things are basically ideological views that are pushed to the public to further promote their own ideological view for a police state.

In short, there is no real war or lines.  Ideological views simply don't have any and only exist for as long as there is someone to believe that they do.

Simply put, the only real war going on is the one to control your minds and how you think.

Back on topic,  They did it before when the marbug virus got out of control , and they will more than likely do it again if this goes too far.

They even killed an entire group of monkeys (shot) at a lab to prevent the Ebola R strain from spreading when they realized it was airborne and had traveled through the ventilation system. In this case they were afraid that it would mutate into a virus which could be caught by humans.

This even alone should give you an idea not only how deadly other strains are but also the fear that scientists have when they speak of the virus's mutation rate.

Put simply, the mutation rate of this virus is so fast that each infected individual raises the probability that the virus will mutate into an uncontrollable, unstoppable,  fully airborne civilization ending event (aka Extinction Level Event)

Just how likely is this to happen? As stated above,  due to the mutation rate scientists fear it will not be very long. Hence the extreme push to wipe this virus out completely before things take a turn for the worse and it wipes out all of humanity.

Yes, this is a very serious little bug.  Even with the small number of cases that exist things could at any time take a drastic turn for the worse.
