Russian General seeks first strike option. One of their generals has the bright idea to rewrite their military doctrine to allow for pre-emptive nuclear attack against the United States and NATO allies. This is absolutely ghastly and you can read the full article here or a copy of it below
Spoiler:

A Russian defense minister wants his country's official military doctrine rewritten to allow for a pre-emptive nuclear attack against the United States and NATO, the Russian-language news agency Interfax reports.

Russian Army Gen. Yury Yakubov said the doctrine, last revised in 2010, should be updated to classify the United States and other NATO countries as the "main enemy" of Russia, Interfax reported on Wednesday.

Yakubov, who is from the defense ministry's inspector general's office, also said it is time "to hash out the conditions under which Russia could carry out a pre-emptive strike with the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces," according to a translation of the general's remarks by the English-language Moscow Times.
Russia categorizes its nuclear arsenal as a defensive measure to be used in the event of an imminent attack that threatens the country's existence, Interfax reported.

Nuclear war talk has crept back into official Russian discourse amid the fighting in Ukraine, where pro-Russia separatists are being armed by Moscow and supported with Russian ground troops.

The United States and the European Union have jointly condemned Russia's actions in Ukraine and imposed successively harsher economic sanctions. The rhetoric from Moscow has followed suit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday told children at a Kremlin-sponsored youth camp, "I want to remind you that Russia is one of the leading nuclear powers."

Ukraine's defense minister used Facebook on Monday to charge that Russia "has threatened on several occasions across unofficial channels that, in the case of continued resistance, they are ready to use a tactical nuclear weapon against us."

The Russian general's remarks came ahead of joint military exercises between NATO and Ukrainian forces that are scheduled to begin on Sept. 16 and "likely to further fuel suspicions between Moscow and the West," the Toronto Globe and Mail reported.

The Ukraine crisis is approaching incinerating temperatures today with Russia reportedly threatening to drop a nuclear bomb on Ukraine. This was of course backed up plans to conduct nuclear drills.   Check out the full article here

When someone reads this they have to ask a simple question:
Are they nuts? Have the generals suddenly became senile to the point that they have forgotten that in such a war everyone looses? Are they going through some kind of withdraw? Seriously, they need to all go take a chill pill or go smoke something that will make them happy and docile.

Russia began moving short range ballistic missiles near the eastern border of Ukraine today. It is unclear why they have made such a provocative move.

I used to think that the Russians were calm and cool headed. However, doubts have started to creep in lately, with what seems to be 'double standards'.

Ok we all know that none of us know what is really going on. The western press obviously will put their own 'slant' on any stories they release, and the Russian people will only get to hear the 'propaganda' from their press.

However, from what we are told, Russia blocked any moves by the west to assist the removal of the Libyan president, a guy who was systematically using genocide to control the Country. Yet the Russians, in the next breath, annex Crimea, a region of Ukraine using the excuse that 'they were protecting the interests of Russian speaking people'. Now if that's not double standards and a contradiction in policy, I don't know what is?

Further, the consequences of Russia blocking the removal of the Libyan president thus enabling a swift change of power, has allowed the creation/formation of the now powerful group ISIS. This in the long run will cost more money and lives to quell than it would have cost to remove the Libyan president in the first place!

Maybe Russia could foresee this and adopted their policies accordingly in order to try to bankrupt the west? IDK but these 'games' that politicians seem to be playing are costing us vast amounts of both money and lives. Methinks they need to get their heads out of the sand.

EDIT: Update. It has just been reported that a column of 32 Russian tanks has crossed the border from Russia into Eastern Ukraine.

Truly I can already tell you that there is plenty of propaganda going on.
According to western press the IS group is a bunch of hell bent militarized muslims.  You would not believe the kind of propaganda spewing out of what was once legit news sources.  It is almost to the point that in order to get a real perspective on what is really going on that Americans must now go to independent news sources (underground) which are not controlled by the government.
Of a truth - the shroud of the dark side has fallen and the people are unknowingly pawns on all sides.
Interestingly enough, Russians dislike fascism.

Looks like we could be heading that way. Here is a copy just taken from breaking news on the BBC News website

Nato has seen columns of Russian military equipment and Russian combat troops entering Ukraine this week, its top commander said.

"Russian tanks, Russian artillery, Russian air defence systems and Russian combat troops" were sighted, US Gen Philip Breedlove said in Bulgaria.

Russia has consistently denied sending troops into eastern Ukraine to bolster pro-Russian separatist rebels there.

However, the rebels have admitted being helped by "volunteers" from Russia.

An interesting update.  Putin officially declared that a new cold was on and that the US was responsible.

Us military officials were stunned when Russia moved tactical nuclear missiles to the border of eastern Ukraine and are still in a state of awe as they contemplate the thought of how far ahead on tech that Russia has become in this field because when the cold war ended a long time ago , Russia continued to advance in this field while the west did nothing.
