The Fringed Ornamental Spider
(poecilotheria ornata)

If you live near the forests of Sir Lanka then you probably know this spider well but if you do not this post is for you.

Its bites are known to cause intense pain and extreme muscle cramps and severe joint pain for a couple days.  With this monster of a spider if you get bit on your hand you won't be wanting to use it for a day or so.

The Fringed Ornamental Spider(poecilotheria ornata) is not to be confused with the Indian Ornamental Spider(poecilotheria regalis)

Its almost deadly. Bites have been known to put people into a coma.
